With regards to technology, the next item we want to discuss is the existing integration with legacy systems. Dealing with those legacy systems that are not replaced by the functionality of the new ERP system or the updated migrated system has always been a challenge with ERP implementation. You have to know how to integrate the technology for that integration, but also make sure all of those touch points inbounds and outbounds are thoroughly tested when we get the system integration test. In some instances during RFP proposal response, there are misses of key systems that impacts the cost and it impacts the timeline
It's incredibly important when we think about those existing legacy systems, when we talk about how do we achieve and make sure that we don't over-complicate the process, we should review those ahead of time. Just like with our business processes, we take a look at those and figure out how we can simplify those.
We want to do that same thing with some of these integrations. Again, we might have so much backed out logic in there and this is our opportunity to clean that up. This is especially important as we begin to create another integration because we want them to be as simple as possible. If we do that, we can avoid stepping on each other and accidentally changing one little item here in this very complex code that breaks six other things.
