Occupational Health: Part II

When setting up the occupational health system, we can create a configurable health component for something like the COVID-19 vaccine. If we create this vaccine health component in the system, we will be able to assign that to our employees and have that visibility toward compliance within the system. Once you create this specific health component, there are different ways that you could roll this out to your employees. We might, say, assign it to those resources through their position, location, or a group that uses a specific criterion from their employee record.

Let's say that I want to roll out this health requirement for all my employees that are between 50 and 70 years old. I want to use an age group to determine who is going to be assigned the COVID-19 vaccine health requirement. We can do that within the system, or you can assign employees to different eligibility groups so that only the ones that fit the specific criteria will be able to get that health requirement completed. This is one of the first things that you can do in the system and it's very flexible in terms of eligibility criteria. If you don't want to make this available to all your employees, you have the option to distinguish a specific population within the location to have that health requirement.

Once you assign a health component to your employees, each individual will be able to see that on their employee space, while their manager can see all the health requirements for them and their direct supervisor. This means that said manager would have that visibility and thus you would, for instance, be able to coordinate all employees assigned the COVID-19 vaccine, and from which those who haven't had a chance to complete the protocol, and, overall, where your organization is in terms of your vaccination strategy and goals.

Additionally, within the system you also would have an option to attach requisite documentation. Let's say I want an employee to be able to submit the documentation related to completing that vaccine. There are ways in the system that you can make that step required, so the employee could then be able to attach a documentation before saving and submitting it. There are also reporting options that go along with this component. Next week, Barbie is going to talk a little bit about reporting and how this system could offer different options for that.
